Mastering the art of spiritual connection...

How do you grow the spiritual connection in a close relationship? Just like mastering a musical instrument, it takes practice to master the art of spiritual connection. Begin by finding where you feel spirit inside yourself. We all learn to notice the sensations of hunger and thirst at a young age, partly because we get a great deal of practice at noticing the sensations, telling other people that we feel them, and filling the needs based on them. Noticing subtler sensations like spirit and joy takes practice too. Since we don't get a lot of messages from society about the importance of feeling these subtler sensations, it's wise to take on the practicing of them as a personal project. Today, make a commitment to having it be just as easy to feel spiritual connection as it is to feel hunger or thirst.
