the stars, the stars
the stars are so close
I can hear them whispering
sweet psalms and loving prayers
come, now, into this blue night
and let their light comfort you

Beautiful. Living out in the country, we occasionally get the chance to savor the view above, especially when we return late from a visit. We have even placed the glow-in-the-dark stars on the kids' ceiling, and have a bedtiem routime of wishing (starlight, starbright).
Thanks for the poem.
Thanks! I have those glow in the dark stars too, and they are amazing, especially the comets and planets! Blessings, HAPPINESS
I live near Chicago, so there's a lot of light pollution, but that just makes the sight of a single star so much more meaningful. The significance of stars, at least for me, is their permanence; our lives undergo a myriad of stressful changes and shifts, both internal and external, but the stars stay the same–they may indeed be the only stable aspect of our existence. They also remind me of the insignificance of our planet, civilizations, and lives: a thought that is not as depressing as it may seem. It can be quite refreshing amidst the pervasive egotism that defiles this world.
Again, wonderful poetry. You should try to get publish, if you have not already done so.
Frogo: What a beautiful meditation on our stars! I could not agree more! Thanks! Blessings, H.
