DANCE! (Geoffrey Oryema - Ye Ye Ye)
From Wikipedia:
Geoffrey Oryema (born April 16, 1953) is an internationally renowned Ugandan musician. At the age of 24, at the height of Idi Amin's power, Oryema was smuggled across the Ugandan border in the trunk of a car, following the death of his father, cabinet minister Erinayo Wilson Oryema, beginning a life in exile. Today his songs keep alive the languages of his youth - Swahili and Acholi and return to the lost country - the 'clear green land' of Uganda.
Oryema earned his international reputation following the release of his second album, Beat the Border. He has collaborated with, amongst others, Peter Gabriel. Gabriel's record label, Real World, helped with the first three of Oryema's albums, until his move to Sony International, a label established in France where Oryema resides since his exile. Besides his two native languagues mentioned earlier, he also sings in English and French.
On July, 2005 he performed at the LIVE 8: Africa Calling concert in Cornwall, and with 1 Giant Leap at the Live 8 Edinburgh concert.

RELAX! (Phillip Glass - The Hours)
Philip Glass (born January 31, 1937) is a three-time Academy Award-nominated American composer. He is considered one of the most influential composers of the late-20th century[1][2][3][4][5] and is widely acknowledged as a composer who has brought art music to the public (apart from precursors such as Richard Strauss, Kurt Weill and Leonard Bernstein).
Glass's music is frequently described as minimalist, though he has distanced himself from that description, calling himself a composer of "music with repetitive structures."[6] Although his earliest music could be called minimalist, his style has evolved enough that the label is inappropriate for many of his more recent works.[7][8]
Glass is a prolific composer: he has written ensemble works, operas, symphonies, concertos, film scores, and solo works. Glass counts many visual artists, writers, musicians, and directors among his friends, including Richard Serra, Chuck Close, Doris Lessing, Allen Ginsberg, Errol Morris, Robert Wilson, John Moran, actor Bill Treacher, Godfrey Reggio, Ravi Shankar, Linda Ronstadt, David Bowie, the conductor Dennis Russell Davies, and electronic musician Aphex Twin, who have all collaborated with him.
Glass is "a Jewish-Taoist-Hindu-Toltec-Buddhist"[9], and a strong supporter of the Tibetan cause. In 1987 he co-founded the Tibet House with Columbia University professor Robert Thurman and the actor Richard Gere. He has four children: two (Zachary (b. 1971) and Juliet (b. 1968)) with his first wife, the theater director JoAnne Akalaitis (m. 1965, div. 1980); and two (Marlowe and Cameron) with his current, fourth wife, Holly Critchlow.[10] Glass lives in New York and in Nova Scotia.
RELAX! (Steve Reich - Piano Phase - Two pianos)
Stephen Michael Reich (born October 3, 1936) is an American composer. He is a pioneer of minimalism, although his music has increasingly deviated from a purely minimalist style. Reich's innovations include using tape loops to create phasing patterns (examples are his early compositions, It's Gonna Rain and Come Out), and the use of simple, audible processes to explore musical concepts (for instance, Pendulum Music and Four Organs). These compositions, marked by their use of repetitive figures, slow harmonic rhythm and canons, have significantly influenced contemporary music, especially in America.
The Guardian has described Reich as one of the few composers to have "altered the direction of musical history."
On January 25, 2007, Reich was named the 2007 recipient of the prestigious Polar Music Prize, together with Sonny Rollins.

CREATE! SECOND LIFE (Video Introduction)
The Making of Second Life: Notes from the New World

Comment in response to Anna's Comment below:
Anna: With your passion for creating online communities, I believe you will be fascinated by the way in which Second Life is evolving, growing and changing. From what I can tell, the secret of SL's stunning success, and ability to attract marvelously creative people is the fact that in a real sense, the Residents run the show. In other words, early on, SL management had the good sense to trust their users (Residents and Avatars) to come up with new and innovative ways of creating content - they did not try, as other worlds do - to predesign or dictate content. This is why I believe SL is important to watch and study, and of course, to play in. James Au's book, "The Making of Second Life" is required reading for anyone who wishes to understand this important harbinger of online virtual worlds to come. And the very real fact is that more and more online 'worlds' are going to try and copy the SL success - how many will succeed remains to be seen.
Chapters "Building A Better World" and "Convergence" will be of special interest to you.
Howard Rheingold (author of Smart Mobs and The Virtual Community) writes of Au's book: "Historically it's a first - first hand documentation of an entire virtual world, almost from its inception."
Cory Doctorow (Author of Overclocked and Co-Editor of BOING BOING) writes: "Wagner James Au is the best writer in the metaverse, the guy who's been there since it was all chunky polygons trying to have sex with each other. He's insightful, he's got a reporter's nose for the deep weird, and he's a hell of a writer."
James Au's New World Notes blog can be read at: nwn.blogs.com
ZEN ! (Meaning)
I was struggling with questions about the meaning, if any, of life and death, and I told Suzuki Roshi that I was engaged in an existential philosophical quest. I told him how absorbing and exciting it was for me and asked him if I was on the right track.
He said: "There is no end to that kind of search."

CREATE ! Current Events on Second Life
James Au ("The Making of Second Life") lists these events at Second Life in his March 6 blog, New World Notes; nwn.blogs.com...
Rik Riel's weekly round-up of upcoming SL events...
Various cultural and ethnic traditions find new forms of expression and celebration within Second Life, from re-creations of real life cities, to music festivals, art showings, literary readings and immersive historic builds. As Second Life grows increasingly international, we should expect more cultural events that bring together diaspora ethnic communities in ways that no other medium could support.
For example, from March 9 -16, the Festival of Saint Patrick celebrates the history, culture, and spirit of Ireland and Irish people. There's a full calendar of events during the entire festival, including live music, poetry, storytelling, art, and history, taking place in both the West of Ireland and Belfast sims. Head to their website for complete event information or teleport directly to the West of Ireland sim. And the Festival is not just for fun and frivolity. Donations are being actively solicited for Project Children, a charity that reaches out to the kids of Northern Ireland.
Also Coming Up This Week: Science exhibits on display, haiku speed building, teach your avatar Chinese, pink-hued performances to stop gender violence, BBC scientists in the buff, and "morphological freedom" (whatever that means.) All that, plus a virtual pint of Guinness after the jump....
CREATE ! SECOND LIFE (Creating Your Avatar)
This post is part of an ongoing series of items about the online virtual community, SECOND LIFE. If you want to know what the future of online interaction looks like, this is it.
Second Life is about personal expression and your avatar is the most personal expression of all. After all, an avatar is your persona in the virtual world. The picture below shows how easy it is to create your avatar. Despite offering almost infinite possibilities, the tool to personalize your avatar is very simple to use and allows you to change anything you like, from the tip of your nose to the tint of your skin. Don't worry if it's not perfect at first, you can change your look at any time.

CREATE ! SECOND LIFE (Exploring SL)
When a place is as big as Second Life and has so many things to do, the first question people ask is, "Where do I start?".
We recommend three tools to help you start exploring. As an example, let's pretend you're looking for a good place to party and meet people.- The Map. Imagine you want to find people socializing. View upcoming events' information on the web map by clicking the the green dots being shown.
- The Search Menu. Now you'd like to learn more about a particular event you saw on the web map. Search for it, and read its description. It sounds great, and you teleport there.
- Other People. Once you arrive, right-click on anybody's avatar and choose "View Profile" to learn about them.

CREATE ! SECOND LIFE (Meeting People)
Within your first hour, you'll notice that several residents approach you and introduce themselves – Second Lifers are eager to welcome you and show you around.
Within this vibrant society of people, it's easy to find people with similar interests to you. Once you meet people you like, you find it's easy to communicate and stay in touch.
At any time there are dozens of events where you can party at nightclubs, attend fashion shows and art openings or just play games.
Residents also form groups ranging from neighborhood associations to fans of Sci Fi Movies.

CREATE ! SECOND LIFE (Having Fun)
In Second Life, there's something new around every corner.
The world is filled with hundreds of games, from multi-player RPG's to puzzles and grid-wide contests. There are also dance clubs, shopping malls, space stations, vampire castles and movie theatres.
To find something to do at any time of the day or night, simply open the Search menu and click on Events. You'll see a listing of Discussions, Sports, Commercial, Entertainment, Games, Pagaents, Education, Arts and Culture and Charity/Support Groups.
Regardless of your mood, there's always something to do...

CREATE ! SECOND LIFE (Create Anything)
In Second Life you can create anything you can imagine with powerful, highly flexible building tools, using geometric primitives and a simple, intuitive interface. Build live, in real-time, right in Second Life - no separate tools or applications to buy or learn and no hassles with importing your work. Building is easy to learn, yet robust enough to inspire your creativity.
A powerful but fun-to-learn and use scripting language further enhances your creations by allowing you to add behaviors to the objects you build - sculpt a butterfly, then write a short chunk of code that lets it follow you around as you walk.
And once you've built something, you can easily begin selling it to other residents, because you control the IP Rights of your creations.
What if you want something but don't quite have the time or skills to make it? Just do a quick search to find and buy what you want.
Amazing things are created everyday in Second Life, but the depth and power and capabilities of SL mean that we have just scratched the surface - join and become one of the explorers!

CREATE! SECOND LIFE (Make Real $$$$ in Second Life)
Make real money in a virtual world. That's right, real money.
Here's how it works:- Second Life has a fully-integrated economy architected to reward risk, innovation, and craftsmanship.
- Residents create their own virtual goods and services. Because residents retain the IP rights of their creations, they are able to sell them at various in-world venues.
- Businesses succeed by the ingenuity, artistic ability, entrepreneurial acumen, and good reputation of their owners.
- Residents who have amassed lots of Linden Dollars are matched with residents who want to buy Linden Dollars at LindeX (our official Linden Dollar exchange), or at other unaffiliated third-party exchanges.
- Second Life's real estate market provides opportunities for Residents to establish their own communities and business locations. See Land Pricing & Use Fees for details.

HAIKU ! (Six Poems)
frost on the black roof
sun sparkles on black water
dragonflies hover
this night is sea deep
so many things now clear
white waves rise and fall
I hunger for peace
the country of forgetting
stars burn holes in time
forget your fine words
the attempt to explain things
you will never understand
open like petals
opening in spring sunlight
like roses, like love
something moves in me
like the pull of far planets
perhaps coming home
