On Saturday, June 14 at 6:30 PM, put on your best formal wear and head to this fundraiser for Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDSPhoenix Fisseux will treat the audience to a performance of Broadway songs at this premiere fundraising event for Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS in Second Life.  Admission is free but donations are encouraged.  All proceeds will go to Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS, the nation's leading industry-based, nonprofit AIDS fund-raising and grant-making organization.  In Broadway Live Island (click here to teleport).

Thursday, June 12

5 AM – Audio Streaming 101
This useful class will give step by step instructions and assistance on how to stream your own audio into Second Life for Windows users.  It includes an overview of audio streaming as well as installation of the software (Winamp or Shoutcast) needed to stream audio into Second Life.  Class notes are available at the Café to pick up before class.  This class is also offered Thursday, June 12 at 4 PM; Friday, June 13 at 5 AM and 4 PM. 8 AM – Playboy Celebrates One Year in SL
This all-day party runs from 8 AM to 10 PM and offers a full line-up of DJs and dancing to celebrate Playboy’s first anniversary in Second Life. In Playboy (click here to teleport).

12 PM – Mums and Dads Unite

6 PM- Act Up Theatre Company presents Unexpected Detours
Unexpected Detours is 3 original one-act plays including, The Truth is Out There by Marin Mielziner and Upo Choche and directed by Blaze Petrov, What Happens on the Way to Las Vegas Stays on the Way to Las Vegas  by Allie Tomsen and directed by Neighbor Criss, and Teardrops on Roses by Elyse Flanagan and directed by Paggles Whitman.   Also on Friday, June 13 at 6 PM.  In Itsari (click here to teleport).

7 PM – Made In Brunel Design Show
Every year the Made In Brunel design show showcases major projects by final year students in Brunel University’s School of Engineering with an RL exhibition at the Business Design Centre, London. In addition to the London exhibition, students from the MA Branding and Strategy, Product Design and the Multi Media courses will also be exhibiting their work in Second Life. On June 12 and 13, the virtual space will be linked with the London exhibition with an opportunity to meet many of the new designers. In Nuggy (click here to teleport).

9 PM – Exploring Futuristics

8 AM – Poetry, A Celebration of Life
If you are a poet, a writer or just in love with the spoken word, come join this open mic poetry recital.  There is no theme, so simply dust off your best verses and share your poetry.  This will be a voice event, although you do not have to speak in order to participate. 2 PM – Primtionary
This game is the SL version of Pictionary.  Rather than drawing a sketch of something, participants build it with prims. A willing builder will be given a word to build and everyone else has to guess what it is. The person who guesses correctly gets to go next and wins 25L$. 6 PM – Father’s Day Formal Dance at Tropical Bliss

Monday, June 16

9 AM – Sailing Tour of Etopia
Come explore Etopia by boat with Windy Schor, a wind educator from RL EnergyTeachers.org. 11 AM – Bloomsday Celebration
Bloomsday is a commemoration observed annually on 16 June in Dublin and elsewhere to celebrate the life of Irish writer James Joyce and relive the events in his classic novel Ulysses, all of which took place on the same day in Dublin in 1904.
